Circles
The circle is a shape that exerts a real fascination on the human imagination, sometimes representing the spatial organisation of time or space in the form of a zodiac, a sundial or a wind rose and at other times symbolising something that is finished, complete, perfect and autonomous and yet bound by its own limits.
This geometric shape appears frequently in art as a sphere, a circle, a ball, a ring, in a line, hollowed out or engraved into the material, as in flat tints, as a decorative element or as pure research.
