Anne Morgan's War: Rebuilding Devastated France, 1917-1924, exhibition held at the Morgan Library & Museum in New York from 3 September 2010 to 21 November 2010.

This movement was led by Anne Morgan, daughter of the financier John Pierpont Morgan. In 1918 she established, together with Ann Murray Dike, the American Committee for Devastated France (ACDF) whose headquarters were based at the Château de Blérancourt in Picardie, France. The ACDF was set up to assist in the reconstruction of regions devastated by the war, focusing its efforts primarily on providing relief for people in distress. In order to raise funds, she travelled the length and breadth of the United States with photographs and films that documented the effects of the war on the civilian population, towns lying in ruins etc.
This exhibition highlights the photographs that helped Anne Morgan convince the donors of the time.
