Fantin-Latour, Manet, Baudelaire : Homage to Delacroix
Fantin-Latour, Manet, Baudelaire : l'hommage à Delacroix
Fantin-Latour, Manet, Baudelaire : l'hommage à Delacroix

The Delacroix Museum invites us to pay homage to this illustrious representative of French Romanticism, who won the admiration of his contemporaries. The exhibition allows us to rediscover the group portrait of artists and writers painted by Fantin-Latour, in which he found the perfect way to demonstrate the influence of Delacroix, who had disappeared a year earlier, and used it as a fitting tribute to him. The moving sketches for this painting recreate both the life of the artist and the views of his studio, allowing us to believe that artistic freedom is always stronger than convention.
