Silent cinema

The still photographer Roger Corbeau, who had a passion for the faces of film actors spent his life collecting cinema photographs.
He captured almost 1500 images of the golden age of European and American silent cinema, portraying all facets of this art which came into full swing during the '20s and '30s. His collection includes portraits of actors and actresses, tragedies and burlesque, historical or adventure films directed by famous directors such as Jacques Feyder, Abel Gance, Cecil B. DeMille, Maurice Tourneur, Julien Duvivier and even Raoul Walsh.
