Living a Japanese lifestyle in Europe
Living a Japanese lifestyle in Europe

The appreciation and interest of Europeans for Japanese art and "the Japanese lifestyle" has never wavered.
Japanese art and influences are clearly visible in European art because of the great variety of traditional Japanese artistic production. It demonstrates a genuine infatuation. Japanese culture has really broken through into Europe and the spread of Japanese products and ideas (the futon, miniaturisation, the manga youth culture, the pursuit of "Zen-ness", design, fashion, interior decoration and architecture) is slowly "colonising" our Western societies, subtly transforming our way of life.
