Dynamo, a Century of Light and Movement in Art, 1913-2013
Exhibition at the Grand Palais from 10 April to 22 July 2013
For the first time ever, the Grand Palais will open its entire exhibition space, in other words 3,700 m2, for the Dynamo exhibition, which presents the works of around 150 artists (some working in groups) who contributed to the development of this form of art over the last century. From kinetic art to perceptual art, the concepts of space, vision, movement and light span 20th century abstract art and involve numerous world famous contemporary artists, such as Ann Veronica Janssens, Anish Kapoor, John Armleder, Carsten Höller, Philippe Decrauzat, Jeppe Hein, Felice Varini and Xavier Veilhan.
