Morocco in the spotlight
Morocco in the spotlight

Morocco is currently in the spotlight thanks to several Paris exhibitions.
“Mediaeval Morocco” at the Musée du Louvre (17 October 2014-19 January 2015) invites us to discover the art of that country from the 11th to the 15th century through almost 300 works, which include examples of architectural decor, textile, ceramics and calligraphy. In parallel with this, the Arab World Institute is holding an exhibition entitled “Contemporary Morocco” (15 October 2014-25 January 2015). The exhibition entitled “Objects in painting, souvenir of Morocco” at the Musée National Eugène Delacroix (5 November 2014- 2 February 2015) allows us to discover some of the objects Eugène Delacroix brought back from his great Moroccan journey. The beautiful sketches Delacroix made in his travel journals as well as his paintings reveal what a wonderful source of inspiration Morocco proved to be for the artist.
These three exhibitions give us a unique opportunity to discover and enjoy Moroccan culture in all its diversity.
