Illustrations of body parts

The human body has always been a central subject in Art.

According to the established rules of the pictorial representation of the human form, artists focused on depicting human expression, the one characteristic that makes a person stand out from others. They pursued the study of the morphology of the human body to the point of producing detailed illustrations of individual body parts: a leg, an arm, a hand, a hip, a mouth...

The male or female body is often depicted in part or in detail.
Studying nature means studying the human body; nothing in the visible world is more worthy or more difficult to portray than Man.
