GrandPalaisRmn

GrandPalaisRmn is a public cultural establishment, overseen by the French Ministry of Culture and Communication.

It was set up in 2011, following a merger between the Réunion des musées nationaux and the Grand Palais, in order to create an international cultural operator. Benefiting from the fact that the Grand Palais was already an established and iconic monument, GrandPalaisRmn is supported by the complementarity of the two establishments' activities, as well as their expertise.

On 20 January 2011, Jean-Paul Cluzel was appointed president of the institution by decree.

Each year, GrandPalaisRmn organizes around forty very diverse cultural events both in Paris and in other regions of France as well as abroad. In the Grand Palais, one of the France’s most popular monuments, they have a prestigious showcase in the very heart of Paris, where

exhibitions, concerts, fashion shows, salons, performances, etc. are held. Striving to achieve cultural democracy, the programming, whilst demanding, is at the same time popular and accessible to all audiences. It is also accompanied by a wide range of mediation services.

In addition to events, GrandPalaisRmn spreads culture through its publishing activities, its network of art bookshops and its photo agency, France’s most important agency for art images.

Finally, GrandPalaisRmn helps enrich national collections by making acquisitions on behalf of the French State.
