France Collections 3D is an innovative project serving the major French museums: numerous 3D reproductions of emblematic artworks will be revealed.

Making the artworks’ 3D models available online, France Collections 3D helps boosting cultural heritage and knowledge dissemination by answering:

• Museums expectations regarding high-quality 3D reproductions of their collections,

• Many issues faced by museums regarding communication, promotion, audience development and engagement, people with disabilities, cultural and artistic education,

• Needs related to the development of new 3D uses : 3D printing, Augmented or Virtual Reality,

• Needs in 3D content of the digital editors and producers : video games, digital edition, education, apps, animation studios, digital postproducers, ...
